We at Golden Nuggets Rabbitry and Kennel have been breeding dogs since the 70’s and rabbits since the late 80’s. You have all ways done the best we could to provide quality stock to all of our customers . Our Rabbitry got it’s name 1994 when at the Hernando County fair my tiny little Sable Point Netherland Dwarf doe “Nugget“ won Best in Show. That started our show career when Don Oser told us that he would not be afraid to show Nugget as his own in a real show. We did and she won. Our Rabbitry was named to commemorate her in a sense.

Though we (my mother) have been raising dogs since the 70’s, our Kennel did not have it’s own name. Our kennel became what it is when I purchased my first miniature dachshund for a mere $75.00 from some boys going door to door. Rosie was not more then a week old when some boys walking down the street with a laundry basket of puppies that they were trying to get deposits on. The family who owned the puppies expected the new owners to take the puppies at one month old with no exceptions. I picked my Rosie up at that age because I was worried for her health, since these people did not know about shots and such. She adjusted just fine here though. From there this weenie ordeal has just kind of grown on us. Besides the fact that these guys are really hard to house train. We would not trade them for anything.
